The information from Viltrox on what I based my previous post was not correct, and the new 135mm f/1.8 LAB lens will be available for Nikon Z mount as initially reported – this is the info I got from Viltrox directly:
“Fuji X mount? I haven’t heard anything about Fujifilm X mount, but Nikon Z mount will be launched in the future, though the timeline is uncertain.”

Nikon just released NX Studio version 1.7.1. Here is the list of updates from version 1.7.0:
- Added support for the Z50II.
- Added support for macOS Sequoia version 15.
- Ended support for macOS Monterey version 12.
- Fixed the following issues:
- When a series of bursts including a burst with only one image were transferred using Nikon Transfer 2, each series of bursts was not displayed as a single image even with [Show Sequences as Single Images] selected.
- When exporting files with [Date Shot] selected for [File Naming], the numbers at the end of the file names were not in the shooting order.
- Full-frame view was not available on devices equipped with sensor housing (notch).

Highest shipments of the calendar year so far for all categories (probably getting ready for holiday buying). Cumulatively, DSLR units are down 21% compared to 2023. Everything else is up.
CIPA has predicted 5.89m ILCs, 1.52m compacts and 9.57m lenses for calendar 2024. Based on 2023 shipping patterns, ILC’s could conceivably come in at 6.3-6.4m units. (That’s higher at the low end than we predicted last month but lower at the high end).
